Choose Outdoors is a U.S. non-profit dedicated to connecting Americans to public land through outdoor recreation. Later this year, Choose Outdoors and the USDA Forest Service will launch the pilot episode of a planned television series titled, American Forests with Chuck Leavell. Chuck is a forestry advocate and conservationist who also happens to be the lead keyboardist for the Rolling Stones.
American Forests captures the breadth of our nation’s woodlands – both public and private. It will feature different stories that demonstrate how important forest habitats are to the well-being and economic health of communities across the country. The series will present individuals who embody this passion for the woods, from architects to artists, from climbers to carpenters.
Choose Outdoors is now looking for partners to assist with funding, story ideas, and experts to provide personal insights on the state of our forests and how to best manage them.
