A leader in innovative printing, mailing and marketing solutions, R.C. Brayshaw & Company serves customers from its three facilities located in New Hampshire. Established in 1979 with printing as its core service, R.C. Brayshaw has grown to provide complete marketing solutions for diverse clientele from the education, healthcare, manufacturing and tourism industries.
The company is founded on a strong legacy of uncompromising quality and commitment to environmental responsibility. It was among the first companies to implement Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification, and was named New Hampshire’s Green Business of the Year in 2012, with a special commendation from Gov. John Lynch.
In 1972, Richard “Dick” Brayshaw moved his family from Long Island, New York, to the foothills of Warner, New Hampshire, where they frequently vacationed. In Warner, Dick purchased the historic Waterloo Train Station, from which the company’s identity was established. The old train station had a few busted windows and broken floorboards, but it had character! Located along the Warner River, adjacent to a covered bridge, was the idyllic home for the new business.
While rehabbing the old building, Dick was approached by the town selectmen, who welcomed his efforts in bringing a new business to town. The selectmen commented that the “riverside location was ideal for a print shop… because it would allow for easy disposal of any extra ink or chemistry right into the river.” Dick instantly balked at the idea and, despite the great expense on his newly established business, he responsibly installed holding tanks so the materials could be handled properly, initiating a legacy of environmental responsibility for the company that continues today.
In keeping with his father’s desire to protect the environment and reduce the company’s footprint through efficiency, current CEO and President Tom Brayshaw has positioned the company at the cutting edge of printing technology. The recent addition of a new 40-inch Heidelberg XL106 eight-color perfecting press, which prints both sides of the sheet in a single pass, dramatically reduces energy cost, paper waste and more than doubles the efficiency of older print technology that many of R.C. Brayshaw’s competitors still use. This represents just one of many technological improvements the company has made.
Automated cutting systems, streamlined finishing and high-speed mailing inserting equipment further enhance efficiencies, reducing the company’s carbon footprint and amplifying the output of its expert workforce. The benefits to the customer are many: premium quality, faster turnaround times and reduced cost, all while using environmentally conscious methods.
“We love the content that Two Sides generates because it helps us to educate clients on the environmentally responsible nature of print,” says Jeremy Freitas, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for R.C. Brayshaw & Company. “The content they develop is relevant, with powerful stats to back it up, and they provide it in multiple formats that makes it easy to share!”
Like Two Sides, R.C. Brayshaw has a strong commitment to the environment and understands the importance of education. They provide customers with the highest quality product while maintaining the most environmentally friendly means of production.
